Born & Bred: Redefining a Brand with Yorkshire Roots

Originally launched as “Snap – Recipe Boxes,” the brand approached us at a pivotal moment in their journey. They needed a complete rebranding to better reflect their commitment to sourcing high-quality, locally-produced ingredients from Yorkshire.

The challenge was not just to rename the brand but to create an identity that resonated deeply with their Yorkshire roots while appealing to a modern audience.

The Approach

We began by immersing ourselves in the essence of the brand, understanding the values they held dear—authenticity, quality, and a strong connection to Yorkshire. This informed every step of our process, from naming to the final touches of the visual identity.

Brand Naming
Recognising the importance of heritage and locality, we proposed the name “Born & Bred,” encapsulating the brand’s dedication to Yorkshire-sourced ingredients. The name speaks to the authenticity and pride that comes with being locally rooted, creating a strong and memorable brand identity.

Brand Strategy
The strategy we developed revolved around highlighting Born & Bred’s commitment to sourcing everything from Yorkshire wherever possible. This approach not only set them apart in the competitive market but also allowed us to craft a brand narrative that would resonate with their target audience. The phrase “Artisan Recipe Boxes from Yorkshire” became the cornerstone of this narrative, proudly displaying the brand’s dedication to quality and local craftsmanship.
